Pits Atlas: Stevinus 22
Impact Melt pit: Stevinus | |
---|---|
Name | Stevinus 22 |
Lat. | -32.9349 |
Long. | 53.9595 |
Desc. | Wide shallow pit. Floor is bowl-shaped. SW corner of floor almost reaches rim, but not quite. There is a 20x15m collapse, ~4m deep, 180m to the E, which only has N and S walls- the E and W are slopes from surroundings to floor. There are a couple of other depressions in line with these two pits, although they could be degraded impact craters. The eastern collapse is at the S foot of a PRF, but Stevinus 22 is not adjacent to that PRF, though it is in a possible valley between two PRFs. |
