Nearside WAC Mosaic

Nearside view of the Moon was created with 1,300 Wide Angle Camera images acquired during a two week period in December 2010. During that time, the orbit track of LRO progressed across the surface from East to West (right to left) allowing for complete coverage. Each of the images acquired was later map projected onto a digital terrain model of the Moon and digitally mosaicked together into this seamless map.
