WAC Topographic Map

Global topography -- a boon to lunar scientists and current and future explorers! This amazing map shows the highs and lows over nearly the entire Moon, at a scale of 300 m. The colors represent elevation: cool colors are low, and hot colors are high. The map was created using LROC WAC images and LOLA laser profiles, a powerful synthesis of observations from two very different instruments.
